A 42-kilometer section of the “Uzynagash – Otar” highway in the Almaty region has officially opened after being expanded to four lanes. Previously, this section connecting Almaty and Shymkent had only two lanes. Vice Minister of Transport Maksat Kaliakparov attended the opening ceremony and emphasized the importance of the project in his welcoming speech.
