The Astana Process negotiations on the Syrian issue

The 18th meeting on Syria in the Astana format was held in the capital. Iran, Russia, and Turkey reaffirmed their commitment to Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasized the importance of the Astana process for the peaceful settlement of the conflict, and expressed determination to continue the fight against terrorism. The parties supported the work of the Constitutional Committee in Geneva and voiced concern over the humanitarian situation, calling on the international community to increase assistance to Syria, including infrastructure restoration and demining.
