United Nations Plan of Action to Safeguard Religious Sites presented in Astana

A special session on the protection of religious sites was held today in Astana on the sidelines of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The event was opened by UN Deputy Secretary General and High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Miguel Ángel Moratinos and Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev.
