In their final home game of the Kontinental Hockey League season, Barys Astana faced Admiral Vladivostok. Before the match, Barys was in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, while Admiral occupied the last position. The home side opened the scoring in the fifth minute thanks to Tais Thompson, but then conceded six goals and suffered a 2–6 defeat.
