Kazakhstan’s Barys played its next match in the Kontinental Hockey League at home in the capital against Russia’s SKA from Saint Petersburg. The first period ended scoreless, with neither team finding the net. In the second period, the visitors scored two goals, followed by three more in the third. As a result, the Astana-based club suffered a 0–5 defeat.
