The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, met with the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in Akorda. As per tradition, an honor guard was formed in the ceremonial hall to mark the visit of the distinguished guest. The presidential orchestra performed the national anthems of both countries. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Frank-Walter Steinmeier walked along the red carpet to the State Flag of Kazakhstan, after which the meeting between the heads of state in a narrow format began.
