Guardians of the Stars

“Guardians of the Stars” is a documentary film about the work of the Assy-Turgen Observatory, located in the mountains at an altitude of about 2,800 meters above sea level. The film tells how, in the 1960s, the history of one of Kazakhstan’s key astronomical sites began here. Today, the observatory is part of the V. G. Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and continues scientific observations of the Sun, stars, and planets.
