How do Kazakhstanis characterize and remember the unexpected turns of the January events, the protests that swept through dozens of cities across the country? This is what the new documentary film by the Presidential Television and Radio Complex, "Witness", will reveal.
The film crew visited 11 cities of Kazakhstan (Almaty, Alatau, Taldykorgan, Atyrau, Kulsary, Aktau, Zhanaozen, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, Shymkent, Taraz) and recorded over 60 interviews.
Three years have passed, but the emotions are still vivid, and the memories are not forgotten. Elderly Kazakhstanis express concern for the younger generation, who they feel do not know where they are heading
