On October 12, 2022, President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit and met with President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the Akorda residence. During the visit, a ceremonial meeting took place, where the national anthems of both countries were played, and a report was given by the commander of the honor guard.
