An international festival titled Nomadic Art: The Global Image of Steppe Culture was held in Almaty as part of the Nauryznama celebrations. The event brought together artisans from across Kazakhstan, who not only showcased their work but also shared the secrets of ancient craftsmanship. Visitors had the opportunity to learn traditional decorative and applied arts, including felt-making, spindle spinning, quilt sewing, ceramics, and jewelry-making. Rare artistic techniques were also presented, including fumage — the art of drawing with smoke.
